Currently obtaining my license. I try to keep up with all the trainings that abide offers so that I can use the skills and tools more effectively.
Why I'm a coach:
I had worked with children as a teacher, tutor, and aide for thirty years. During the pandemic, I became aware of the great need for more Biblically-based tools to help people with mental health and now work with adults. I trained with abide and have enjoyed every minute, and each session I have had the privilege to conduct.
What I love most about coaching:
Each person that I meet is as valuable as the universe. They may not realize their struggle is an opportunity to grow and connect more fully with their Creator and Savior. I understand these struggles well and can empathize and share the tools and support to create goals for individual needs. I find the whole process a joy. I love each person I meet and interact with and begin and end every session with prayer. I know that it is the work of the Holy Spirit to bring comfort and healing.
I recharge on my day off by:
I garden, swim, play with grandchildren, visit friends, or cook. I have lots of hobbies that I enjoy but the main ones are the five above! I also play guitar and sing sometimes at church, at nursing homes, or for friends in small settings.
My three favorite things:
Music --Christian music
Quality time with good friends
Outdoor time in nature...studying herbs and natural remedies.
